Yes. Google Docs are exported as .docx, Sheets as .xlsx, Slides as .pptx and Drawings as .svg, so every document opens without Google.

Can it back up a Google shared drive?

Yes. You can back up a whole shared drive, or any folder inside My Drive or a shared drive.

Are backups incremental?

Yes. Only files that changed are downloaded. Unchanged content is reused across backups, so history costs little extra space.

Can I restore a file from a specific day?

Yes. Any past backup can be mounted read-only in Finder, so you can browse that day exactly as it was and copy back what you need.

Can UziBackup change or delete my Google Drive files?

No. UziBackup requests read-only access to Google Drive. It can never modify or delete anything in your Drive.

What happens if my Mac is asleep at backup time?: The missed run starts as soon as the Mac is awake again, and the summary tells you how many were missed.
Can it modify my Google Drive?: No. Access is read-only, by design.
